Langemeier’s Love Song is named for two wonderful daylily friends who both
have passed away in the last few years. Richard and Helen Langemeier were
members of Nebraska Daylily Society. They attended almost all NDS meetings
and hardly ever missed a Region One Summer Garden Tour. Richard enjoyed
bidding in the NDS plant auctions. If he thought a friend really wanted a daylily
on the auction, Richard would make sure the friend would have to dig deep in his
pockets to take the plant home. The Langemeier’s are missed as friends and NDS
members as well.
